A chance for what

That day she lost all her hopes when she came to know he wasn’t truly involved with her. All those memories they created were hitting her, and all those memories were haunting her badly. But soon, when he said, “You always control me, you never cared for me, your care for me was bothering me, restricting me” —
Shweta: Asking you just one call was control?
Or asking for one text after reaching your place when you were traveling was control?
Or simply waiting for your message every day was control? Tell me, where was I wrong?
Karan: “Sometimes care and control seem to be the same, but there is a thin line in between that you never understood. I never doubted you, even after all those allegations your friend made — I supported you because I trusted you. And still you feel I control you.”
Shweta: (Sadly) You have changed. Or maybe now I can see things clearly.
I never cross-checked you, I never asked you anything.
Even after making me sit outside your house for three hours, and then saying you were only five minutes late — so I left. Was that really your love?
Insulting me on my birthday, which you’d perhaps forgotten.
All these things I assumed were love. I always told myself you loved me, and that’s why you fought with me.
Leaving me in the middle of a fight, telling me to get out of the car in the middle of the road — was that not rude?
Keeping me on hold on the call and attending ten other calls — was that not rude?
Where do you see me in this? Am I so far away from your radar? I doubt now — just tell me one thing, do you even consider me?
But today I realized you never loved me. I was just another option for your leftover time. And even my love for you has now faded. I can’t love someone like you.
Karan said: (He was numb) And with a lot of pain, he said, “Can I ask for another chance?”
Shweta: Chance?
Chance?
Is it worth giving another chance to someone who chooses to break you over and over again.
Saying “I love you” is not a big deal — but following those three words is a huge battle in itself.
Shweta said: Chance for what? To break me again? Or is it just because now you’re going through pain, so you want to fill up your absence again?
He was unanswerable for all those questions. What he was doing was unfair, intolerant, and he stood there helplessly.
Karan said: I really can’t be happier if you leave me. I know I made a mistake, but still, you can give me one chance. Also, it’s not just my mistake — you’re so much more invested in this relationship than I am.
Why do we need love in our lives?
Love is not just what we actually see. It’s not just romance or intimacy — it’s way beyond that.
Love is what we do for our own dreams, and mostly what a mother does for her child.
Love is what Saint Meerabai did for Lord Krishna — unconditionally and wholeheartedly.
Shweta said: It’s all my mistake — choosing you over myself was my mistake, respecting you even after you disrespected me was my mistake, and loving you even after your hate was my mistake.
Some relations break because you’re involved with someone else, or you cheat.
But certain relations break because you don’t respect that person, even once.

Karan said: What should I do then? I know I hurt you, but now I can heal you and your pain. I can be your love for life, if you’re interested in me the way I am. Just one chance?
Shweta: No! I can’t be with someone who is unfair like you. I wasn’t ever really into this relationship. Somewhere, now I feel you were just my attraction, not my love. Because I can love someone who loves me unconditionally, and that’s not you.
I can’t believe I couldn’t simply comfort myself in front of the mirror, because somewhere I believed the person who chose to do all these negative things to me.
Love is an emotional relationship between two wonderful people. You can fall in love with anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Love is where you are happy, relaxed, satisfied, and mostly, where you can be yourself. Where you are unhappy, stressed, and worried — that’s definitely not love. That’s just temporary attachment.
It’s been said — don’t stretch too much. Even after a long stretch, elastic bands break.
Karan said: So I never loved you unconditionally? You know what — you’re ruining this for yourself.
Shweta said: Unconditional love? Forget about that. Did you ever really bother to understand what love means?
Raising your hand at me — was that unconditional love?
Or making me feel embarrassed in front of your friends — was that unconditional love?
Your friend understood I was feeling offended, but you just kept going…
Love binds two people, and it also detaches two people. Some bonds bring you closer, while some break you as a person.

Karan said: I am sorry, but please stay — I won’t let this happen again.
Shweta said: Thank you for making me realize I can be happy without you. How comfortable I am without you, and how I can love my own company… thank you.
Love holds on to people tightly, and just as simply, it breaks them down completely.
Love makes you happy, and sometimes it makes you realize that loving yourself is also necessary. Love makes you strong enough to say hi, and even stronger to say goodbye.
